Cet établissement est un havre de paix qui donne à ses clients la sensation d'être en pleine nature tout en leur offrant des panoramas exceptionnels sur les gratte-ciel de Manhattan. Situé sur les rives de la East River, à quelques encablures du pont de Brooklyn, le 1 Hotel conjugue modernité et et design eco-friendly. La déco des chambres met l'accent sur des matériaux naturels tels que le bois, les draps sont en coton bio et les capsules de café sont recyclables. Le rooftop de l'hôtel offre des vues incomparables sur Manhattan. Une adresse dans l'air du temps.

Had a wonderful stay. Wonderful staff. One in particular. As I was checking in he noticed my Basquiat Hoodie. So we talked about Jean Michel Basquiat exposition. We reminisced on how that exposition was perfect. To my surprise , the next morning he stopped me in the lobby. Happy to see me because he brought a Basquiat pin to give me. That was so thoughtful especially that he loves him as I do.
The room was very nice , amazing view!! Can’t wait to go back .

Eco-friendly, sustainable, organic are just words. These words are often used in today’s society to draw socially conscience individuals in, only later to find out they were fooled by a false narrative. However, the 1 Hotel (Brooklyn) does not draw you in with a false promise, but instead Welcomes you in with a visual and tactile experience.
This is not the first time I have stayed at a 1 Hotel property (LA. and Hawaii), and all 3 experiences have been 5+ stars. From the warm reception desk, to the living wall and reclaimed lumber, to the eco-friendly and sustainable rooms, you instantly realize, they go beyond the call for a green initiative.
There are too many superlatives and comments one can make by visiting this property, but my top 5 would have to be the following;
1- Interior design with eco architectural thought in every room and around every corner
2- Ease of transportation to travel to downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan
3- The views of, and easy walking distance to, the Brooklyn Bridge
4- The views from the rooftop bar, looking at the Manhattan skyline as opposed to a Brooklyn skyline (both day or night)
5- Top notch food services both in, and within walking distance to the hotel
If you are looking to stay at a 5+ star hotel, or if you are looking for a socially conscience place to stay, you found it in the 1 Hotel Brooklyn property.

Undoubtedly one of the finest hotels I have chosen to stay at in New York. The experience of waking and sleeping to the view of Manhattan is truly awe-inspiring. Although it was pricey, it was worth it. The proximity of restaurants near the Hotel can be easily reached on foot.

At around 3:50 am, a man entered their hotel room while they were asleep (clearly had a key), which was a very frightening experience. They were woken up, made some noise, and the man left the room.
The next morning, upon checkout, they alerted the staff. They were doubly shocked by the staff’s reaction. They showed no concern, did not apologize, and seemed to downplay the issue. They offered to “go get a manager,” but instead came back and said the mysterious man had entered the room in error.
My family members did not press further, as they do not speak english well, but were extremely disappointed by the obvious lack of care and safety concerns/measures. While incidents can happen, basic professionalism dictates that an appropriate response should be provided. Clearly, this is lacking at the 1 Hotel.
Women travelling alone beware. Everyone should make sure to put valuables in the safe, even when in the room.
Edit: After the 1Hotel's response (below) to this review, I immediately contacted them via email, but they haven't responded to my email or follow-ups. Disappointing.
