Pacing of the dishes was rather slow and I did wish the courses would arrive quicker. However, every dish was presented meticulously and I have nothing bad to say about the dishes.
Goat cheese is definitely polarising but they can do a swap if that is not your preference.
I would definitely return when I visit Paris again!
I went on January 31st with a friend for dinner, and we picked the 440 euro menu. The appetizers were quite nice and the salad with the citrus foam was super fresh and delicious. The langostine was the highlight of the evening and the beef was good, but unless they dry age it themselves, there was not much added to the quality of the meat itself.
There were many hiccups with service. They'd come and ask us to choose things like the wine, or the menu or the truffle supplement, after we had already chosen with other waiters. Also, they served the meat dish from another table to us and I noticed before my friend started eating hers (they served her wagyu when we hadn't ordered it). When I pointed it out to the servers they realized the mistake and simply took the dishes back to the kitchen, counted to 3, and came back with them for the other table. The same dishes that had been sitting in front of us, on our table, for a good couple of minutes right before. In a regular restaurant that would be passable, but in a 3-Michelin star, no. Especially because my friend had a bit of a cold and the dished they served to the other table sat in front of her for a good while.
Also, the dessert was very bad. It was asthetically unappealing, looking like a sort of baby yellow soccer ball. Then it was very cold and very citrusy. Not a winter dessert at all... more of a summer dessert. Didn't finish the winter menu on the right note in my opinion.
Additionally, the wines on the list were severely overpriced for what they were.
I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm not a jerk. It was a pretty decent meal; but when you go to (and pay for) a 3-michelin start, you expect a different level, and it was not delivered. I'd give it one star at best.
Good food
Last year, I had the privilege of dining at Kei Restaurant, a culinary jewel tucked away in the bustling heart of Paris. Chef Kei Kobayashi, a maestro in the kitchen, expertly weaves his Japanese heritage with French culinary traditions, crafting an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Service That Makes a Difference (⭐)
The staff at Kei were nothing short of exceptional. Their attention to detail, deep knowledge, and genuine warmth made us feel truly special. They struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, enhancing the overall experience.
The Only Downside
A Hefty Price Tag (????): The one drawback of Kei Restaurant is its high prices. It's definitely more suited for special occasions than regular dining, but the extraordinary experience justifies the expense.
Wrapping It Up
Dining at Kei was a magical experience. The fusion of Japanese and French cuisines, coupled with impeccable service and an elegant ambiance, made it an evening to remember. It stands out as a gastronomic gem in Paris, perfect for those special moments when you want to indulge in something truly exceptional. Despite the cost, the quality and uniqueness of the experience make it well worth the investment. Kei Restaurant is not just a meal; it's a celebration of culinary artistry and passion. ????️????
