Avis HÔTEL DES MÉTALLOS Paris

I live in London but travel to Paris frequently. I have stayed at Hotel des Metallos several times previously; it has always been a good and reasonably priced option in a great upcoming area of central Paris, with many bars and restaurants close-by.||My most recent visit was a 3 night stay, from 29th April to 2nd May, 2025. I booked on the hotel's own website, at what I would consider to be "normal" rates, and with no information given of any works ongoing at the hotel.||I arrived on the afternoon of Tuesday 29th April, to find the hotel absolutely clad from top to bottom in scaffolding and plastic sheeting. Having made a non-refundable booking and with no other last-minute option, I proceeded with the check-in.||I was assigned a room on the 4th (top) floor, with full height windows and "French doors", which would ordinarily have had a view along the street. Instead there taped up windows, a view onto the scaffolding and the plastic sheeting, with everything dirty and absolutely covered in dust from an ongoing external refurbishment of the building. Despite this, I slept that night with one of the French doors slightly open, as I am someone who needs some fresh air in order to be able to sleep. Had I known about the works I would have booked elsewhere.||On the second night of my stay (night of 30th April), I again slept with one of the French doors slightly open. I was wakened by external noise at 03:45 that night, got up and opened the curtains, to be faced with two young men smoking on the scaffolding, 4 floors above ground level, just outside my bedroom window.||Upon discussing this the next morning with the man on reception, it was clear that no compensation would be provided; I was simply informed that i should have had my windows locked and used the air-conditioning!||On the morning of 2nd May, VERY loud works commenced immediately outside of my room at around 08:00, despite notices saying that work would commence no earlier than 09:30.||In my opinion, the owner of this hotel has absolutely no respect for his guests. As a minimum, the ongoing nature of this work and the fact that the hotel is clad in scaffolding and sheeting should be made clear on their website, so that a decision could be made on whether to stay there or not! My advice would be to totally avoid this establishment until at least August 2025, and thereafter to obtain clear confirmation that this work is finished.

the room is very very small it barely takes our luggage and no room for baby crib, there were scaffoldings outside all the rooms and this blocked us from opening the windows to air our room

This place is not far from the tourist places as they are walkable. To me it’s like the best place as I love to walk. Able to walk to Belleville area, to Saint Martin canal and to the Latin quarter by footThe hotel seems to have undergone some renovation and looks new.

Un gros moins pour la personne qui nettoie les chambres: elle bouche l'accès à l'ascenseur, elle frappe à la porte à 10h30 (les chambres sont à rendre pour 11h), elle hurle sur une autre employée, qui visiblement, débute (elle l'a dit assez fort) dans la salle du petit dej, devant les clients.
Pour le reste, la chambre, l'emplacement et le petit dej, c'est plutôt pas mal, la personne à l'accueil le soir est sympathique.

Personnel disponible , très agréable souriant et accueillant ! Hôtel sympa et très propre !
Ascenseur en panne mais à l’accueil nous propose de porter nos bagages si besoin !

J’y ai séjourné une nuit car j’avais un concert au Bataclan, il est situé à à peine 4 minutes à pied de celui-ci donc c’était vraiment nickel ! La chambre était bien, le personnel (une personne est présente à l’accueil 24h/24) très gentil, tout a été parfait !

On se sent extrêmement bien dès notre arrivée, au petit soin pour nous.|Dommage que je ne sois restée qu'une seule courte nuit mais pour sûr si je dois revenir ce sera chez vous !

Bien placé dans Paris pour visiter, petit déjeuner très bien pour le tarif, chambre confortable.

Hotel fantástico. Muy limpio, servicio atención al cliente muy atento. Le doy 4 estrellas ya que se escucha el ruido de la calle bastante. Lo demás genial.

Ho soggiornato senza colazione,le camere pulite silenziose. La signorina alla reception disponibile, conosce l'italiano,lo consiglio . La colazione in loco è possibile ma noi abbiamo preferito uscire

L'hôtel est particulièrement propre et bien entretenu, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans Paris.
La chambre n'est certes pas très grande mais pour une nuit en déplacement professionnel, c'est parfait. La salle de bain est très propre, en parfait état. Le petit déjeuner est complet, sous forme de buffet.
J'ai d'ores et déjà réservé pour les autres nuits de mes déplacements parisiens.

Рядом есть много станций метро.
Убираются каждый день.
Единственный нюанс - довольно мало места.
Но с это не проблема. А как я написал выше - нюанс)

The hotel is in a hip neighborhood with great bars and restaurants. Close to the Metro too.Room #3 is pretty noisy at times. Mostly with people walking by and talking late into the night.Avoid this room if you are a light sleeper. The staff are mostly nice but wouldn’t or couldn’t change my room because of the noise. The room I was in is quirky with a small shower that is a step up. Clean enough though.

Hotel molto carino, pulito, colorato e confortevole! Letto comodo, stanze piccole e basic, ma accoglienti; quelle che si affacciano sulla strada sono comunque ben insonorizzate. Comodissimo a due fermate della metro e quartiere davvero molto carino e vivace. Lo Consiglio per qualità/prezzo. Ecco, mancano giusto delle mensole o un armdio dove appoggiare i vestiti.
