It is not really a 5*****-Hotel. Roomservice IS not that good, breakfast has not much choice, rooms are a bit old fashioned. It's not really wheelchair friendly. No access to pool and beach. Service is friendly.

Hotel bem localizado, lugar isolado e desafogado , perto da praia de Espinho.
Bom atendimento, pessoal simpático. Bom pequeno almoço e comodidades.
Quartos confortáveis e amplos.
Algumas críticas a apontar:
Quartos vista Mar apenas parcial porque ficam lateralmente situados.
O hotel é enorme mas apenas tem um bar junto a recepção, este fecha às 24:00 e não tem música ambiente, apenas quando tem algum artista a tocar ao vivo até às 23:00. Após isso , fica em silêncio ate ao fecho. É estranho . Uma música ambiente com volume moderado não fazia mal e dava outro bem estar aos hóspedes.
Podiam ter um bar voltado para a piscina ou vista mar .
Sendo um hotel de Spa 5 estrelas tem obviamente um jacuzzi , mas este apenas se pode utilizar mediante de uma marcação e com pagamento aparte . É ridículo. Nunca antes visto. A zona de sauna e banho turco é separado Homens e mulheres… tb não faz muito sentido visto que ninguém anda nu .
De resto recomendo o hotel , a voltar seguramente.

An older hotel that has aged well due to quality of build. Staff was super nice, rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. Pool, Sauna, etc were all really nice and upkeep was spot on.

Tras un magnífico recibimiento al llegar al hotel por parte de un amable recepcionista, subo a la habitación y veo que este hotel pertenece a esa categoría de hoteles, cada vez más escasa, que consideran que no es necesario iluminar la habitación. Imposible trabajar, imposible leer. Habría tenido más luz si hubiesen puesto velas para iluminar. Para colmo de males, la llovia de la noche no me ha dejado dormir. Repiqueteaba constantemente, haciendo un ruido muy alto. Al hacer el check out, la amabilidad del recepcionista de ayer se ha visto sustituida por una desagradable frialdad de la recepcionista de hoy. Tras preguntarme qué tal he dormido, le hablo del ruido y no le ha dado ninguna importancia. No creo que vuelva a alojarme en este hotel.

Das ist leider kein echtes 5*****-Hotel. Es wirbt damit barrierefrei zu sein. Also Rollifahrerin kommt man allerdings weder zum Strand noch zum Pool. Die Betten haben nervige dünne Decken (Laken, Wolldecke, Überwurf) und Minikissen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr schlicht und es gibt täglich exakt das selbe. Kaum Rohkost, Aufbackgebäck, keine Spiegeleier, außer Lachs kein Fisch, wenig Auswahl. Insgesamt wirkt das Hotel wie direkt aus den 80ern. Allerdings waren die Angestellten sehr freundlich, wenngleich auch wenig motiviert. Es gibt sehr viele gratis Parkplätze. Man ist schnell in Porto oder Espinho. Schade, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis so schlecht ist.

Buenos días escribo en esta ocasión para mencionar un inconveniente que tuve con el chef de mesoneros en el restaurante. Lamentablemente, al momento de servirme el huevo cocido tomé equivocadamente el utensilio y este señor llegó directamente a mí para reprocharme sin la más mínima educación. Me dio realmente mucha pena el saber de mi error. En relación a las demás personas, muy gentiles, cordiales y amables.

This review is for the chef waiter( Breakfast shift) in the restaurant of the hotel. He is extremely RUDE de and ARROGANT.There's in no way to talk to customer like that. Asking nicely is always the way to go. If you consider yourself a five stars restaurant/hotel. A "is there anything we can help you with sir." Should be the way to go and not rudly sarcastically stopping us and tell us to go back and look at the sign at the entrance, as if you can t read, stupid or not know the language. we were looking for our son, that was already in telling him that we're here. You should understand the situation and not attacking us like you are disciplined your own kid. I'm an adult and I do speak English and French and your language.

I saw him being rude to another customer too. It seems to be a character problem. Management should reconsider training him again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience my partner and I had during our stay at your hotel. We had high expectations for our visit, given the reputation of your establishment as a 5-star hotel, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations.

First and foremost, the noise level in our room during the night was unacceptable. Our neighbors in the room above us were incredibly loud, making it difficult for us to get a restful night's sleep. Despite our attempts to address the issue with hotel staff, the noise persisted throughout the night, greatly disrupting our stay.

Additionally, the quality of the accommodations left much to be desired. The bed in our room creaked loudly with every movement, making it nearly impossible to sleep peacefully. This lack of comfort is not something we would expect from a hotel of your caliber.

Furthermore, upon arrival, we were dismayed to find that there was only one towel provided in our room, despite our reservation being made for two people. Typically, hotels of your standard provide two towels per guest, yet we were left with inadequate amenities. Additionally, we were unable to locate any slippers or bathrobes to use when accessing the spa facilities, forcing us to enter in our own clothes and trainers, which was not only inconvenient but also detracted from the overall experience.

Perhaps the most concerning issue arose during our check-out process. We were informed by the manager who accepted our payment upon arrival that the full payment for our room and the city tax had been processed. However, upon checking out the following morning, another manager insisted that we pay the city tax again, claiming that it had not been included in our initial payment. This discrepancy in billing was not only confusing but also concerning, as it suggests a lack of transparency and potentially unethical practices.

Given the subpar experience we had during our stay, I believe it is only fair to request a refund of our payment for the room and the city tax, as well as monetary compensation for the inconvenience and moral damage caused by the issues outlined above. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and address it promptly to ensure the satisfaction of your guests.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of these issues.

Nice quiet hotel on the sea just outside Porto. The rooms are spacious and clean (daily cleaning). Various facilities are available, including pool tables and the indoor swimming pool (swimming cap required). The breakfast is very extensive with different choices. The only downside I found was the air conditioning, this could also be personal. The temperature in the corridors and rooms is on the high side, but the air conditioning only blows warm air. I left the balcony door open for fresh, cool air.

Colchão extremamente desconfortável, o pior que já experimentei, inadmissível em qualquer sítio mas principalmente num hotel 5 estrelas.
Frequentei um curso no hotel. Na sala do curso, o lixo, garrafas de agua abertas e copos usados não foram sequer arrumados de um dia para o outro.

Quarto 253, 4feira, janeiro, foi uma pena termos ficado num quarto com vista para o Lidl, quando o hotel estava quase vazio. A reserva foi feita com antecedência e ficamos num quarto com as janelas muito sujas, alcatifa igualmente suja e autoclismo avariado. Sem chaleira e outros serviços próprios de um quarto de hotel de 5*. Muito fraco e datado. Bom colchão e almofadas. Uma decepção como hotel de 5*.

Hotel and location was beautiful though out of the way. Best if you rent a car. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our time there. Can’t beat the views. The staff was always professional, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our port wine and comfy chairs at the main area.

Spent three days at Hotel Solverde, two sea view adjoining rooms with balconies. The hotel was excellent, room was comfortable and clean. I had a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Staff was outstanding. Valet parked and retrieved my car in their secure garage, help with luggage, and excellent gym and spa staff. Restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Great service and nice selection. The pastry desert buffet for dinner was wonderful. Everyone spoke English which was helpful since I am still learning Portuguese. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be back again soon.
