Schöne Seminarräume. Ausstattung gut (Beamer, Flipchart). Lademöglchkeiten eher beschränkt.

Ich und mein Vater waren am Fasnachts Dienstag bis zum Fasnachts Mittwoch Gast. Das Zimmer war nicht zu klein und nicht zu Gross. Der Fernseher hatte Sender auf fast jeder Sprache. Das einzige was mich einbischen gestört hat ist, das der Fernseher auf dem Hotel Kanal etwa 5FPS hatte. Das war allerdings nucht so schlimm weil es nur ein Kanal war. Der aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, komme sicher wieder.????????

Dans un superbe bâtiment, un chambre simple mais impeccable. A l'image de l'hôtel dont le charme désuet est préservé en dépit d'une rénovation manifestement récente. Très bien entretenu. Accueil excellent.

It was advertised as a wheelchair accessible room. I had to get out of my chair, walk across to the bed, and my husband had to collapse the wheelchair.
We looked for a kettle in the room, all hotel rooms have a kettle in them, right?
I called reception, they told us it was on 1st floor.
I was waiting for my husband to come back and he said it was located on the 4th floor.
It was a basic kettle (us branded) and a large room with chairs in it. It was all 'organic'.
We went to use the loo, and there were some complimentary things. Like a nail file, not even a toothbrush.
I am on a clinical trial in Switzerland and the doctors there, told me to throw away my toothbrush after 3 days.
I was in the hospital for about 3 days, but the cups were so small that I would've been asking hubby for tea/coffee all the time ????
The eatery was downstairs, outside, down a ramp (2 steep ramps) and they only served food in the morning and lunch.
We called to ask if they did room service, they said no.
We had to call to ask for bigger pillows.
All in all, a shame...from beginning to end. We were thankful that we weren't charged for the full stay. All of this, with a discount from the University Hospital.

Excellent location with good comfort. Nice and spacious rooms.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit toller Atmosphäre, beeindruckendes Gebäude mit faszinierender Geschichte und herrlichem Park. Ich habe mich selten in einem Hotel so wohl gefühlt.

Wir feierten den 70. Geburtstag meiner Frau mit 33 Gästen im Restaurant Ayledo am Hotel Odelya. Alles war wunderbar und hat bestens geklappt. Von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme, über die Planung bis zum Fest. Sehr guter und freundlicher Service, ausgesprochen leckeres Essen, festliches Ambiente, moderne Architektur und der Naturgarten. Und die Technik für die Projektion von Bildern hat tadellos funktioniert. Auch Kindern wurde Raum geboten und alle Gäste haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt . Aaron Wälchli, Berufsmusiker aus der Region, bezauberte mit seinem Gitarren- und Marimbaspiel und Gesang jung und alt. Wir können das Odelya und sein ganzes Team bestens empfehlen! Es gab ein Problem während meines Aufenthaltes. Ich verabredete mit dem Hoteldirektor eine Lösung, die zunächst ein Zuvorkommen zeigte. Leider hielt sich der Herr im Nachhinein nicht an sein Wort. Schade.

We stayed at the hotel in family suite. Great two room with bathtub in main bedroom and shower in the other room. Rooftop!

The hotel is built in a castle or mansion but is actually quite modern inside. The room is quiet at night, and the view of the back garden through the windows is just amazing. You may hear some foot steps from upper levels, but this is the same for every hotel.

The service is top-class. You'll feel at home at this hotel.

Da ritornare sicuramente. Comodissima la posizione tra l'altro per spostarsi al centro storico di Basilea. Poi è davvero pittoresco e ben tenuto.

This is my favorite place to stay in Basel. It's a bit quirky, but still my favorite. It is associated with a mission. So, not luxury, but perfectly comfortable. It's quite, people are very nice and it's just outside of the old town.

Our room was spacious and sunny with many windows, a sofa, desk and easy chairs and a stylish decor. It was really very lovely!!
Great atmospheric lighting as well.
However, missing for me was a mini fridge, in- room tea kettle (though tea was free on the 4th floor), a heated drying rack and a cooling system. The room did have 2 fans which helped, but opening windows let in some noise from the daycare center or construction workers nearby.
The hotel workers were extremely courteous, pleasant and helpful in every way, offering mineral water, fruit and croissants at reception.
Additionally, the grounds are lovely. There are picnic tables and a ping pong table right outside providing a shady park like atmosphere.
The restaurant on-site looked enticing but we didn’t partake of it so no review there.
It’s a 5 minute walk to Spalentor and the old city, so nicely situated in a beautiful historic building.
All in all, a great place to relax in Basel for a short visit.
Be warned though, prices do rise in high season (end of August), so be sure to ask about them.

Very poor service, DO NOT book for any events!

OK, I cannot comment on the rooms since I did not stay at this hotel for a longer time.

I, however, visited the hotel on an organized business event. We had a nice time outdoors at the backyard. The food was OK. After I left, my colleagues who still were at the event (and there still was a bunch of people) noticed that I have forgotten my sunglasses on the table. So they brought them to the reception and left them specifically as a forgotten (not found) item - with the information that I would pick them up later.

Unfortunately, I was not able to pick them up for approx. 3 weeks. To my big surprise, when I returned at the end of the same month, the hotel staff could not find anything and told me they never had any sunglasses.

I personally used to work within the industry and specifically know that if a guest forgets anything at the hotel, the item is kept up to 12 months just in case the customer would come back at a later stage.

This unfortunately was not the case with Odelya. Obviously, my sunglasses were stolen from the internal employees since I doubt that someone would put Rayban sunglasses to the bin. The manager (after I escalated) did not really care about the matter, did not even try to call me to explain what happened or did not do anything to make up for the mess) - he carelessly commented via email that due to me! coming back that late, the item is no longer available.

Poor, poor service with a very bad attitude towards guests. I definitelly would not pick up this location for any business or private events. Spend the money somewhere else where the customers are appreciated and treated well.

Very well located in Basel, very calm. A peace garden in the city.

Leider ein ganz schlechter Service, den ich eigentlich in Basel nicht gewohnt bin. Trotz langfristiger Reservierung bekam ich aufgrund einer Tagung für 220 CHF (!) nur noch ein Zimmer in der 4. Etage, direkt unter dem Dach, in dem aufgrund fehlender Klimaanlage mindestens 30 Grad herrschten. Ein Zimmerwechsel war nicht möglich, ein größerer zweiter Lüfter wurde mir auch nicht ausgehändigt und das kleine Bullaugen-ähnliche Fenster war nicht zu öffnen. 4 Stunden Schlaf war das Maximum, um 4 Uhr morgens suchte ich Abkühlung auf einer Parkbank. Ich kann dieses Hotel im Sommer leider nicht empfehlen, obwohl es eigentlich eine gute Lage hat und in einem historischen Gebäude mit angrenzendem Park liegt. Schade, aber ich werde dort nicht mehr übernachten.
