Worst breakfast hotel experience ever
As an experienced hotel reviewer I have to say this hotel is clearly at the bottom of the breakfast league. The breakfasts are pretty awful and uninspiring with little variety but much worse - they have a policy of not putting any prices on the breakfast menu in your room - and if as I had - you had already paid for breakfast you obviously assume you just pay for room service if you take it in your room. Not at Vile Gale. I found I had been charged an extortionate 36 euros for the same boring spread I got for free in the breakfast buffet. The staff said they would look into giving me a refund but after they got their money there was no further contact from them. Daylight robbery. Unlike the breakfast menu, they do list prices on their laundry list. However this was the only thing they could offer when they told me they did not have an iron to use in the whole hotel.
Update - the response of the "owner" Pedro Monforte which was rather unprofessional was rather than to confirm the staff's original offer of a refund was to offer no response apart from saying this is an isolated experience and to say they look forward to welcoming me back again!! Unlikely after this treatment. An appropriate more favourable response would have elicited a similar response from myself but clearly the management do not understand customer service

All year round there is noise on the hotel territory. It comes from lawn mowing, dust blowing or anything else. Everyday it sounds like a motorbike show or a construction work. No way for guests to relax on the balconies! The management should pay urgent attention to noise management and replace the tools/the approach.

No A/C, no hot water, terrible food, poor customer service. We stayed for four nights in early April. The hotel is nice, but not very functional and the staff is unresponsive. They did fix the hot water issue, but never responded to our multiple requests to fix the broken A/C in our room. We won’t return.

Apesar do contratempo inicial, que foi solucionado pela direcção do hotel, pudemos fazer uma semana excelente de férias. As minhas filhas adoraram, em especial o kids club e o seu staff.
Comida dentro do nível "vila galé".
Alguns aspectos em que ainda podem melhorar, como a temperatura da água da piscina interior.
Staff sempre muito simpático, em todos os sectores.

Um verdadeiro serviço de excelência. Toda a equipa nos fez sentir especiais, com destaque para o Rúben do RS, terapeutas do SPA e gestora, sem esquecer o sr. Diretor que sem dúvida está a fazer a diferença no bem servir deste hotel. Well done a todos.

Um lugar único no Algarve.
Mas hotel ????os empregados são explorados !!!! Muita coisa por fazer !!!!
Um pequeno almoço parece que estamos num centro comercial nos saldos !!!
Imensa gente poucos empregados para repor !!!
O spa com água a 25graus ,,, um gelo !!
Estava um fim de semana de chuva e vento o min é ter uma piscina quente !!
Água do duche morna !!!

This is a real disappointment. Waited for a long time to check after walking in the rain and then got a 2 person room for a family with one bed and 3 keycards. Worst check in ever. Not recommended. Hospitality is not their strength. Avoid!

Grosses Hotel, etwas ausserhalb der Stadt. Dafür aber sehr ruhig und nahe am Strand. Grosse und saubere Zimmer. Gratisparkplatz auf Hotelgelände.

Das Hotel ist relativ neu. Ob es wirklich 4 Sterne verdient , ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher. Der erste Eindruck war so eine Mischung aus Krankenhaus und irgendwas. Der Service ist auf jeden Fall sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind groß genug, der Roomservice gibt sich Mühe. Ok, einige Schimmelflecken in der Dusche, in der Silikonfuge, manche Dinge wie der Schminkspiegel werden einfach nicht geputzt. Als ich beim öffnen der Wasserflasche etwas verschüttet hatte, und es dann auf gewischt hatte, war das Tuch schwarz, ????. Das Frühstück ist gut, allerdings gibt es jeden Morgen das gleiche. Und je nachdem wie viele Engländer das Buffet stürmen, wird's auch schon mal knapp mit Futter. Und es gibt auch Dinge die braucht man nicht, Bohnen zB. Ansonsten kann man noch über die geringe Auswahl an Wurst und Käse meckern. Wir hatten nur Frühstück gebucht und das war auch gut so. Wir haben 2 mal das Abendessen vom Buffet gehabt, mit 27€ zuzüglich Getränke, 4,70€ das Bier, nicht gerade günstig. Und, mir hat es nicht so gut geschmeckt.
Letztendlich war es eine relativ günstige Pauschalreise, und somit auch in Ordnung. Im Sommer möchte ich hier allerdings nicht Urlaub machen.

Liegt sehr ruhig, mit Blick zum Meer und nicht sehr weit zum Zentrum. Außerdem liegt der Bahnhof in der Nähe!!

The hotel has a great spa with a nice sauna and Turkish bath. It's the best spa in Lagos and they offer great monthly deals. They offer different massages and I can recommend Juliana. The massage was very relaxing and thorough.

Very beautiful hotel, easy parking with a choice of outside or underground parking. Walking distance from the beach. Spa available and buffet style service. Fridge, wardrobes, balcony, seating area, shower bath, bidet and hairdryer. The rooms were spacious and clean. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Didn't use the pool due to time of year, but there were plenty of sun loungers. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Modern und großzügig eingerichtete Zimmer. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausreichend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Badelandschaft ist sehr großzügig und ansprechend. Der Fitnessbereich und das Innenschwimmbad waren ebenfalls elegant und ansprechend gestaltet. Das Hotel ist lediglich durch eine Straße und Bahngleise vom Strand getrennt. Beides ist leicht zu überqueren und so ist der Strand in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Selbst bei sehr früher Abreise wird für ein kleines Frühstück gesorgt. Bei Geburtstagen der Gäste spendiert das Hotel Wein und Tortenstücke. Wir erhielten sogar ein Upgrade auf Zimmer und Parkgarage.

Ein Kritikpunkt, der den Aufenthalt jedoch nicht beeinträchtigt:
Aus ökologischer Sicht ist die Grünanlage nicht sonderlich nachhaltig angelegt. Alte Olivenbäume unter denen sich ein gut gedüngter, blütenfreier, kurz gemähter Rasen befindet. Vielen Gästen wird's gut gefallen, der Natur wohl weniger.

Nuestra experiencia bastante desagradable, estuvimos el verano pasado 2023 en Julio, de luna de miel, y cogimos suite con vistas al mar, olía mal y el aire acondicionado ni funcionaba, reclamamos y nos cambiaron una suite con vistas al parking planta baja (no veas el ruido de los coches)... Nos comentó la dirección del hotel que nos iba a recompensar con un descuento %, viaje echo con la agencia el Cortes Ingles que ellos, el propio hotel, se ponían en contacto con ellos para devolver dicho importe, en el día de hoy, la agencia reclama y ellos no saben nada, NO RECOMIENDO El HOTEL, comida siempre la misma, en fin, a mi me dieron el viaje de novios, con el dineral que costó...

Une seule nuit dans cet hôtel lors de mon circuit. Très agréable , idéalement situé près de la plage , belle piscine, chambre bien équipée donnant sur la piscine, petit déjeuner varié et abondant, buffet du diner également

Hôtel très agréable qui a de nombreux points positifs: le décor moderne et original, le personnel accueillant et souriant (mon mari a eu un soucis de santé lorsque nous y avons séjourné et le personnel à la réception a été très réactif et prévenant et le lendemain tout le monde a pris de ses nouvelles), la piscine vaste, le petit train touristique qui passe devant l'hôtel et qui, pour 3 euros, vous permet de rejoindre Lagos et de monter et descendre à volonté et l'immense plage de sable en face de l'hôtel. Deux petits bémols pour moi: il n'y a pas de partie de plage réservée à la clientèle de l'hôtel et la nourriture, qui bien qu'abondante et variée, devient un peu répétitive lorsqu'on y séjourne 10 jours.
