I cannot recommend this rental company enough! Ricardo was one of my favorite people to meet on our trip to Costa Rica. He was so friendly, gave us the best advice/recommendations, and was immediately responsive whenever we needed it. We got the Suzuki Jimmy and loved it so much. It was the best 4 X 4 car we could have asked for and we drove it all over Costa Rica. I truly encourage to always help the local community and this rental company is locally owned and you can tell the difference when renting from them vs others. Costa Rica really stole our hearts. Can't wait to be back, Pura Vida!!

We just had the most incredible experience with Target in Costa Rica. Maynor was amazing from pickup to drop off, and everything went seamlessly. We read a lot of sketchy things about some of the other major car rental companies operating in Costa Rica, but after a bit of research we chose to go with Target and cant recommend them enough. Communication was great from the minute we booked. We walked right out of the airport doors to find Maynor holding a sign with our name on it and a warm welcome. He walked us a block to the air conditioned shuttle and was very friendly. We pulled up to the rental location , a short drive away, and saw our car right out front waiting for us - the EXACT make and model we selected online - (New model Suzuki Jimny). The car was spotless. After a quick run through of some contract details (under 5 minutes - I should add that Maynor was very honest and not pushy on up-sells which was much appreciated), we were off! The return process took under 10 minutes as well, and he dropped us off right at our gate. Look no further - Target is THE best choice for car rentals in Costa Rica. Ask for Maynor! Thanks again for everything ????

Si tienes que alquilar un coche para viajar por Costa Rica es una muy buena opción. Nos vinieron a buscar al aeropuerto nada más llegar y Aroon fue super amable y servicial. También nos llevaron al aeropuerto una vez ya dejamos el coche. El coche estaba nuevo e impecable, recomendable 100%

We had a great experience on our recent trip to Liberia. They were waiting for us at the airport with a sign with our name on it. They had a nice large van with AC to take us to the rental store. The car was clean and worked well. No hidden fees as advertised. We would use them again.

100% recomendado. Estuve buscando mucho cómo rentar un vehículo y encontré este lugar. Lo que más me gustó fue que no hubo costos ocultos, ellos ofrecen seguros que son opcionales y cada quien decide si tomarlos o no. El vehículo fue un suzuki Jimny, perfecto para dos personas, para recorrer todos los terrenos de este hermoso país. Aarón nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos esperó aunque el vuelo estuvo demorado. Erika nos atendió con mucha amabilidad. Cada vez que vuelva a costa rica seguiré rentando con ellos siempre. Una única recomendación, sería que los vehículos contaran con el dispositivo para el pago de peajes de manera automática, ya que fue lo único para lo que necesité dinero en efectivo en costa rica.

Maynor was friendly and we had great service. Our shuttle to/from airport was timed perfectly for our flights. We had fun exploring Costa Rica in our Suzuki Jimny and we were glad to have the 4x4 especially in gorgeous Monteverde where the scenery is epic but the roads are an adventure!

Staff at the Liberia location were incredibly kind, helpful and clear about the car rental policy, insurance and suggested destinations. The Tucson was clean and ran without a hitch for our road-trips through the mountains. 10/10 will rent from Target again when we go back.

Amazing place to rent a car in Costa Rica. I cancelled my previous car rental with a national brand after reading the horrible reviews they had. I was lucky enough to find target and they were amazing!!!! Erika emailed me back right away with a quote that was accurate and had no hidden fee's. When we got to Costa RIca Ricardo was waiting at the airport for us. He was so friendly and gave us some great tips for driving in Costa Rica, he went through the vehicle with us to ensure we knew how to use the 4x4 if needed, and answered any questions we had. We were given a new Suzuki Jimny to drive which was a great vehicle. At the end of the trip Ricardo checked over our vehicle and took us to the airport. Target and their employees are fast, friendly, honest and reliable!!!! I will defiantly be renting with them on my next trip!!

April 2023- We rented a Suzuki Grand Vitara from the Liberia location. We reserved online a few months prior to arriving. The price quoted was very competitive and promised no surprise fees. Email communication was fast and responsive. Ricardo met us at Liberia airport with a sign. He was friendly and very helpful. He was thorough and explained everything very clearly and had great customer service. This man deserves a promotion!
The SUV was not brand new but was very clean and everything worked as it should. It had an apple carplay/android auto capable touchscreen so GPS and mapping weren't and issue.
The return was fast and painless. The price charged was what I was quoted months ago and there was no hidden fees. Ricardo then dropped us off at the airport in the shuttle van. He talked about how he had worked for Target for 8 yrs and prior to that was at another car rental company who were a bit shady. He said it's so nice to work for a company that is upfront and treats their customers well. Don't let the smaller size of the company deter you. Amazing prices and great customer service! Highly recommend! 10/10

Target rental car è un posto sicuro e affidabile dove noleggiare l’auto. Bryan è venuto in aereoporto a prenderci al nostro arrivo e ci ha subito dato la macchina che avevamo prenotato. Devo dire che la nostra jimny era perfetta. Quasi nuova e si è comportata molto bene nelle strade un po’ avventurose del costarica. Abbiamo fatto 2000km senza nessun problema. Inoltre alla fine del viaggio siamo stati accompagnati di nuovo in aereoporto gratuitamente con il loro furgone navetta. Se torneremo in costarica ci affideremo ancora a target rental car.

Très bonne expérience, la voiture était presque neuve nous n'avons eu aucun soucis en 12 jours malgré l'état des routes .
Des assurances sont proposées en plus mais ne sont pas imposées. Gustavo et Brian étaient très sympathiques :)
Nous les recommandons sans hésitation.

Target Car rental is an excellent choice for your Costa Rican adventure. The quote that I received from Julia was honest and accurate and the price I paid at the end of the trip didn’t change. Bryan and the customer service team were extremely friendly and helpful picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel upon arrival and departure. They gave us great advice and showed us true hospitality. I would not hesitate for a second to rent a car from from Target for our next trip to San Jose.

Great rental experience! Quote was clear and complete via email. Julia was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Gustavo picked us up from the airport and provided excellent service throughout the check in process! The overview of the car with any imperfections was clearly and completely documented. The Suzuki Grand Vitara was very clean, we had no issues with the car during our 8 day trip as we drove around Costa Rica. When we dropped the car off Bryan was the agent who helped us. He was very kind and courteous! He explained everything very clearly and made sure we were comfortable while we waited for the shuttle. Overall this was an excellent rental experience, I would highly recommend renting with Target!!!

Agence recommandée par une amie très satisfaite de leur prestation. La communication en français avec Julia a bien aidé. Le devis était clair par rapport à d’autres agences et bien placé. Nous avons été surpris comme beaucoup de touristes par les assurances optionnelles qui mériteraient d’être mieux explicitées. En vérifiant les autres devis reçus, ça n’était pas plus clair… ça doit être la règle… Nous avons pris le full coverage ne connaissant pas bien le pays.
La voiture était neuve et conforme aux attentes. Nous avons eu une crevaison et du réparer un pneu. Ils ont proposé tout de suite de prendre en charge les frais.
En résumé, tout s’est très bien passé et de façon sympathique, avec une bonne communication!

Suite à une mésaventure lors d un voyage en 2021, nous avons décidé de faire appel à une agence locale sans intermédiaire ( pas sur une plate-forme). Notre voyage vient de se terminer. Nous avons été bien heureux de notre suzuki jimny " pura vida" que nous avions baptisée???? et qui nous a amenés partout sans soucis. Confortable et pratique. Dès le début on s est senti à l’écoute et compris avec Target et Julia qui parle français que nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion de la rencontrer mais cela nous a permis de rencontrer notre sympathique Bryan. Réponses rapides à nos questions lors de la préparation des mois à l’avances. Un devis et des informations claires. Pas de frais cachés ! Transmission personnalisée et personnelle de la Jimny à notre logement par Bryan qui parle un peu français. Après les démarches administratives etc..nous voilà partis. Merci à toute l’équipe qu on peut contacter lors de notre séjour, de leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leur réactivité. N’hésitez pas! Robert et Marie-Noëlle -Belgique ????????

Our experience with Target Car Rental from the Liberia airport was great. They picked us up at the airport for a short ride to their office. Ricky Ricardo was super friendly and very easy to work with. We rented a Tuscan for 2 adults and 2 pre-teen children - it was comfortable and easy to drive. We would recommend this car rental service to anyone flying in and out of Liberia! Great experience and competitive rates.

Nous avons réservé un véhicule (4*4) trois semaines avec cette compagnie. Service super, très bon accueil et sont disponibles en cas de problème. Nous avons eu un accrochage et il n’y a eu aucun soucis derrière. Bien s’assurer est primordial dans ce pays. Je recommande à 100% pour un voyage en famille.

Très bonne expérience avec Target pour la location d'un 4*4, prix compétitifs, sérieux, professionnels. Nous avons cassé la poignée en plastique du coffre, elle ne nous a pas été facturée! Merci... à recommander
