It’s extraordinary delightful to share our experience of total joy and satisfaction each time we come to Story hotel. The location is perfect and there is a sense of both intimate atmosphere and socially attractive environment with various available activities according to personal needs; Very pleasant and engaging staff makes it a perfect choice for different types of expectations! We were here for 10 days and had amazing stay. It is right on the beach with many options to dine around. Great kids facilities and very safe.

Amazing location by the beach. Beautiful scenery around the hotel with lots of wildlife. The receptionists and the porters are very friendly. Serving staff not so much. Generally slow service in the bars. Stay away from their Eden restaurant. Spa and trader Vic is great. Beverages are very expensive here. No privacy in the bedroom as there is only a half wall into the toilet room (who decided that was a good idea?)... The rooms are of good size with a comfortable bed. Would I come back? Most likely not. The location does not offset the downsides.

A perfect place that I imagine as paradise. The relation of price and quality of service is incredible. The staff is always at your service. Great selection of food! Eden is our favourite by far! Best recommendations ????

The hotel is fantastic, the restaurant, the pool everything you need for a dream wedding and holiday. All of the staff were very keen to help always happy and smiling and nothing was ever to much trouble. We would highly recommend Story as a perfect getaway.

Beautiful and Romantic

!DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!

During my day one at this hotel there’s been a heavy rain and electricity went off for a few hours starting from around 21.30. I was having a conference call at that time, when contacted reception over WhatsApp they first told me they have no idea when the electricity will be on again and they’ll give me an update shortly. An hour into load shedding nobody has contacted me and simply ignored my message when I’ve decided to double-check. I ended up waiting for 2 hours in complete darkness because I’ve had a work project to finish that day. Then gave up and went to sleep. Electricity was on when I woke up (by approx. 9 am). And of course no messages whatsoever from the reception staff.
In short, I do understand heavy rain and weather conditions making power go off. What I don’t understand is:
1. Why doesn’t a so-called “5 start hotel” have a generator? My grandmothers house has one I mean so why can’t they buy one
2. Absolute failure to provide any sort of information by hotel’s staff. They could’ve at least said “sorry, today it’s going to be off, there’s nothing that can be done” so that I wouldn’t expect for the power to go on and didn’t have to sit and wait in darkness.
It’s currently day 2 of the stay, for now it’s 3-4 star hotel at best. Just keep in mind before visiting. Not giving it a 1 star because that won’t be fair obv.

I like to say that the swimming pool is good and staff are quite helpful like Erol and Ethian I suppose spell it in right way.

Excellent hotel design, great location and eco friendly. Staff helpful and friendly.

Avail of the inclusive activities -
- snorkelling tours was excellent (do wear a rashie for sun protection)
- Scuba introduction gets you setup to go diving!

Kid related things to consider -
- so many options for food and drink in buffet
- movie night was a hit, with pop corn
- there is a supermarket across the road for milk and nappies etc
- baby pool is shielded from the sun, it’s a bit hidden so ask if you can not find it
- kids are listed activities daily so check that out for entertaining them

Sehr schöne Anlage mit vielen interessanten Details! Zimmer bestens ausgestattet, stylisch! Empfang, Personal -sehr professionell! Lage toll, wir nutzen es ein paar Tage nach einer umfassenden Rundreise/Inselhoppingtour. Restaurants: sehr gute Qualität, leider jedoch nichts, was herausragt, überrascht, genial ist. Damit ist der Preis viel zu hoch. In dem Level wird auch ein Highlight erwartet und nicht nur „angemessen“. Hier sollte reagiert werden!

Ein traumhaft schönes Hotel mit sehr schönen und großzügigen Zimmern. Die Anlage ist bis ins kleinste Detail geschmackvoll gestaltet. Eine schöne Gartenanlage mit traumhaften und abwechslungsreichen Pflanzenarten, alles harmonisch, das gefällt hier auch der Vogelwelt! Das Personal ist aufmerksam, freundlich und nimmt sich auch für einen kurzen Plausch Zeit, wenn man es möchte. Die Managerin des Hotels ist sehr aufmerksam gegenüber Ihren Gästen. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, im Hintergrund ist angenehme Beschallung. Der Pool ist mega cool und lädt zum verweilen ein. Auch hier angenehme Musik. Die in der Anlage angesiedelten Lokale machen alle einen hervorragenden Eindruck wobei wir nicht alle besuchen konnten, es fehlte uns hier etwas Zeit. Der Strand ist einer der schönsten der Welt, auch hier pflegt das Personal der Hotels noch mit.

The hotel staff is amazing! I felt like I was amongst family. Very kind and very sweet. I had an emergency while I was there and they took care of me like I was one of them. Just don't expect 5* service. I asked for a wake up call, no one called. I asked for a taxi to the airport it was never booked. You will need to follow up a few times on some things. But the facilities, the rooms and the restaurants were all amazing. I had dinner at trader vicks one night. And dinner at vascos on another night it was a Creole night with creole food and music and dancing it was fantastic.

Great location with dream ful garden, kind staff abd great cocktails

Set in natural greenery of the trees and palm trees. Overlooking Beau Vallon Bay. Can't say much about rooms, we were there just for dinner few times.

Wir waren insgesamt 14 Tage auf den Seychellen, wovon 4 Nächte im Story. Das Hotel hat eine schöne Anlage und ist gut und direkt am Strand gelegen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Es wunderte uns der fehlende Willkommensdrink - aber ja... Mehr in den einzelnen Rubriken.
Eines vorweg - das Story ist ein gutes Stück entfernt von 5 Sternen, ausser bei den Preisen. Die anderen Tage waren wir in zwei 4 Sterne Hotels, welche durchs Band besser und günstiger waren.

Great hotel on the best beach of the main island of Seychelles. Hotel offers daily free activities lliked and group kayaking, snorkeling, walking tours. We participated in snorkeling and it was great. Multiple restaurants with fine prices or you can simply walk along the beach and try any other place for a bite.
Staff are really welcoming and helpful in every aspect we could imagine. Very knowledgeable and willing to share their love and info about country, infrastructure, marine and land life.
1 hammock and 1 hanging couch close to the breakfast buffet place for nice pictures.

Amazing hotel in every way

Amazing 4 da stay in the Story hotel. Everything is either beautiful or stunning, or both. The staff is smiling all the time, and was trying their best to make us have the best time here, and it worked. We had to leave but definitely could have stayed longer!

As expected, it was a really nice resort with great staff. I liked that they organized different activities each day, all/most included. The hotel was not too busy in September.

(4.4 Overall) Gorgeous beach front location- some Villas walkout.

Access to various restaurants on site and walking distance to inner town with some shopping and offsite authentic local restaurants.

We had unease regarding "service and cleanliness" for a 5 star. The team listened to our concerns and provided support and solutions.

Highly recommended for a quiet private getaway with your partner.
Low key, romantic, and views are superb.

Sehr freundliche Rezeption einerseits, problematischer Reinigungszustand im Zimmer andererseits, überwiegend schmackhafte Speisen einerseits, der Rotwein zum Abendessen in Weißweingläsern aus Plastik andererseits.

Great resort, great location with restaurants in and out of the hotel, big rooms, gym, pool, beach

J'ai séjourné dans cette propriété pendant les trois premiers jours de mon séjour aux Seychelles et je l'ai vraiment vécu. Le personnel était rapide et super sympa. La propriété est petite donc il est facile de s'y promener. Les buggies arrivent également assez rapidement. Ils ont 3 options de dîner et quelques options de déjeuner. Pour moi, le point fort était le personnel. Ils ont été très très utiles. Dans l'ensemble, la propriété est confortable et agréable.

Ce n'est pas un hôtel 5*.
L'expérience globale a été bonne, mais l'attention portée aux détails fait défaut. Nous étions en B&B pendant 8 nuits et avons séjourné dans une suite junior avec jardin.

Nous avons été accueillis par un membre du personnel sympathique, sommes arrivés plus tôt que prévu et ils ont réussi à préparer notre chambre après seulement une heure d'attente. Mais pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, nous avons été déçus de ne pas avoir reçu de verre de bienvenue gratuit ni de nous montrer un endroit où nous pourrions nous rafraîchir après notre voyage. Surtout après avoir parlé à d'autres invités et vu des publications sur les réseaux sociaux.

Service : le personnel de la réception et de la piscine était très bon. Très sympathique/heureux. Le service au buffet du petit-déjeuner était assez médiocre et incohérent et certains membres du personnel semblaient plutôt mécontents.
Petit-déjeuner buffet : le choix était assez bon, mais le café provenait d'une machine à café et quelles que soient les dosettes utilisées, le café avait un goût de brûlé. Champagne gratuit disponible également !
J'ai été rebuté par la salade fraîche car lors de notre premier petit-déjeuner, les feuilles de laitue étaient boueuses. J'ai porté cela à l'attention de la responsable du petit-déjeuner, à laquelle elle a rapidement répondu au chef, présenté des excuses sincères et donné un bon pour des boissons gratuites (ce qui a été apprécié). Cependant, je ne m'attendrais pas à ce que ce manque d'attention à l'hygiène alimentaire de base soit être manqué dans n'importe quel établissement de restauration et encore moins dans un hôtel 5*.

Nettoyage : nous n'avons pas eu de problème, mais parfois les serviettes de bain n'étaient pas données même si celles utilisées étaient prises. J'ai dû demander à la réception deux fois de nous envoyer des serviettes. Les serviettes de bain doivent également être remplacées, quelques-uns qu'on nous a donnés étaient tachés/effilochés/semblaient très usés.

Chambre:
Étant dans une suite avec jardin, pour un hôtel 5*, je m'attendrais à ce que le jardin et le patio soient bien rangés et entretenus quotidiennement. Cependant, des feuilles mortes et des détritus étaient restés dans notre jardin pendant toute la semaine.

Encore une fois hôtel 5*, je m'attendrais à un service de préparation à la nuit cohérent. Nous avons eu notre premier service de couverture lors de notre 5ème nuit !!

Nous avons également trouvé que les draps étaient trop larges pour la housse de couette et pas assez longs (la couette ne pouvait donc pas être boutonnée sur la housse). Ce n'est vraiment pas grave - mais encore une fois, ce n'est tout simplement pas ce à quoi on s'attendrait pour un 5*.

En général, la piscine et les jardins semblaient bien entretenus et bien rangés/nettoyés. Cependant, encore une fois, les serviettes de piscine étaient effilochées et tachées - elles doivent être remplacées si vous voulez vous classer dans un hôtel 4* ou 5*.

La piscine elle-même est vraiment bien, mais la plus profonde mesure 1,4 m. Très bien pour moi, mais certaines personnes pourraient être rebutées. Et une grande section peu profonde pour se détendre en position allongée.

Gym : assez convenable pour un peu de cardio et un entraînement de résistance. Mais pas d'haltères !

Plage : pas privée, mais la majeure partie de la zone située à proximité de l'hôtel n'est de toute façon utilisée que par les clients de l'hôtel. Belle plage. Agréable pour une bonne balade. Superbe coucher de soleil (quand on a le beau temps !)

L'emplacement est assez bon, mais si vous êtes en B&B et que vous restez plus de quelques nuits, à moins que vous n'ayez une voiture, vous aurez du mal à trouver un bon choix de restaurants dans le quartier de Beau Vallon. Sinon, c'est une belle partie de l'île où séjourner pour la plage, de bonnes eaux calmes (pour septembre). Malheureusement, la météo n'était pas des meilleures. N'y allez pas en août/septembre, car le changement climatique provoque de nombreux jours de pluie. Nous avons eu de la pluie et des nuages ​​tous les jours et ce ne sont PAS de courtes averses brusques. 2 jours ont été un désastre complet. Heureusement, la télévision de notre chambre était équipée de Chromecast, nous avons donc beaucoup regardé Netflix !

Dernier jour : le vol avait lieu le soir, mais ils étaient heureux que nous puissions utiliser les installations toute la journée jusqu'à ce que nous devions partir. Nous n'avons pas opté pour le départ tardif. Mais lorsque nous avons parlé à la réception, ils étaient heureux que nous utilisions la douche située dans la salle de sport pour nous rafraîchir avant de partir. Serviettes fournies.

Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais quand même cet hôtel, mais ne vous attendez pas à un 5*. L'hôtel doit absolument travailler à la formation du personnel du petit-déjeuner. Malheureusement, en lisant les critiques d'il y a des mois, avec la réponse standard copiée-collée de l'hôtel, je ne pense pas que ce que j'ai écrit fera une différence. Mais j'espère que si vous envisagez de réserver, cela vous aidera à prendre votre décision en étant conscient.

Je ne sais pas si cela valait le prix que nous avons payé pour ce qui était censé être un vrai plaisir de vacances.
