Incredible experience here. Gorgeous grounds, very clean room, stunning views and the best service. Our breakfast was truly one of a kind and we were treated so well. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a slice of luxury for a very affordable price. Thanks so much.

Ein Traum von einem B&B. Es hat Charme, Geschichte, eine tolle Lage und Aussicht und das Beste Personal. Ich würde es jedem 5* Hotel vorziehen. Eine absolute Empfehlung, geht hier hin!

Une très belle demeure très bien située proche des attractions du quartier Santa Theresa
Très bon service , chambre superbe , très belle vue , une petite piscine sur une terrasse qui surplombe la ville vue mer et pain de sucre
Ajoutez à cela un excellent petit déjeuner

This place is such a gem. Family run (thank you Chris and Adriana for being so wonderful) with friendly staff, gorgeous arty decor, lovely breakfast and amazing views. We felt very safe here and loved being so close to everything Santa Teresa has to offer. Can't wait to come back one day!

We loved the stay at Gerthrudes. Santa Teresa is a charming neighborhood. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Our view was beautiful. The outdoor pool was so perfectly placed and surrounded by lush plants. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh squeezed juices, fruit, eggs, tapioca, breads, and more were available.
Adrianna and Chris were very warm and welcoming along with the rest of the staff. They had helpful suggestions and tips for getting around the city. I would love to stay with them again. I highly recommend you do too.

Everything about this place is phenomenal. The attention to detail when it comes to the décor, the property is run like a well oiled beautiful vintage classic top tier machine. The views are gorgeous, the breakfast delicious and the care by Adriaana (pardon my spelling) and Christopher is exceptional. I loved everything about this property right down to the meticulous choice is mirrors.

Really nice B&B, great view and very quiet day and night. The breakfast is amazing, the best we’ve had throughout our trip in Brazil, we would stay there again!

Absoluter "Geheimtipp" in Vergleich mit anderen bis zu 5* Hotels die wir in Rio besucht haben!!
Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.
Super Lage mit wunderbarem Ausblick, sehr gastfreundliche Eigentümer, gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück, schöner Garten mit Pool und tolle Zimmer.... Unsere Freunde hatten grosse Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, wir eines der kleineren mit Bad auf dem Gang, was aber auch völlig in Ordnung war. Wir würden ein nächstes Mal für einen längeren Aufenthalt aber sicherlich eines der grösseren Zimmer wählen.

Vu très chouette en hauteur, chambre bien, la mienne n avait pas sa salle d eau privée, je n avais pas fait attention. Personnel sympa, lieu avec son charme historique. On a eut besoin de garder la chambre qlq heures, c'etait un peu cher cet extra, le reste RAS.

Un petit paradis en mode cocon au coeur de Santa Teresa - un séjour entre vues à couper le souffle dès l'aube, le charme d'une maison qui a vraiment une âme, un accueil incroyable (merci Adriana!) et des espaces et chambres (ou suites) qui favorisent aussi bien l'intimité que les rencontres avec d'autres voyageurs. Le petit-déjeuner est à tomber, la piscine avec vue sur Rio et son honesty bar à côté aussi.. comment dire : FONCEZ.
Note si vous hésitez entre plusieurs quartiers : Santa Teresa et Lapa regorgent d'endroits où sortir + en métro, Uber ou taxis très abordables, vous êtes à Copacabana ou Ipanema en un rien de temps.

Beautiful place to stay in Santa Theresa with very helpful, friendly staff. Property felt very safe and secure. Breakfast is amazing with fresh fruit, made to order eggs, pastries, cake etc.
Only thing missing would be a water fountain/access to drinking water to top up plastic bottles as we ended up using a lot of plastic bottles.
Would recommend!

Lugar y servicio magnífico!
Volvería a Rio solo solo para estar en ese jardín y desayunar las cosas ricas que preparan las dos encargadas del desayuno, las dos super amables.
Yogurt y mermeladas artesanales, jugos de fruta exquisitos, tartas y tortas caseras, tapiocas y huevos cocinados a elección. De lujo!
Particularidad que me encantó, que en el jardín hay un bar self service, donde a la tardecita puedes tomarte una cerveza y hacerte una caipirinha o otro trago, lo anotas en un cuaderno y lo pagás al check out.
