I do think there could have been a “minimum 18 years old” requirement, but on the other hand I do understand that the young school kids also wanted to enjoy the hostel.
Having said all that, it is a nice hostel, but just didn’t live up to my expectations of a great hostel experience.
Super bem localizado no centro de tudo o hostel ainda oferece um pequeno café da manhã e pasta vegetariana de graça pros hóspedes! O rooftop também é lindo e os drinks também tem um valor especial (meu Etna Spritz saiu por 4 euros). Recomendo muitíssimo!
The location is bombastic! There are at least 6 of Catania's sights within a 1-minute walk. Among other things, right next door is the church and cathedral of Sant Agata, the elephant fountain just in front and the Uzeda city gate around the corner. Also the main shopping street Via Etna starts in front of the Hostel.
You can end the evening wonderfully on the roof top bar and have the best view over the University Square. With reduced prices for cocktails between 9-10pm. during happy hour, it's even more appealing. Offered free (delicious) pasta every evening at 8:30pm is a nice surplus.
The rooms are nice and functionally furnished. (In the rear building) Courageous double-decker beds and clever solutions for maintaining privacy are particularly impressive in the newly renovated and always clean bathroom (in each four-person room).
The WiFi was very strong in all parts of the building.

Na minus jedynie otwieranie głównej bramy - na noc jest zamykana, nie mamy do niej klucza i trzeba dzwonić domofonem. Pokoje otwierane na kartę, która czasem kiepsko działała.
Jeśli kiedyś wrócę do Katanii, to ponownie chętnie skorzystam z tego miejsca
Mi dicono subito che la terrazza è al completo : ammetto , mea culpa che non ho prenotato .
Così faccio la tessera e chiedo se è possibile almeno salire per far vedere la terrazza al bambino ed un secco NO ha stroncato il mio entusiasmo .
L’atteggiamento è stato indisponente ed infastidito .
Ormai ho fatto la tessera ma sicuramente mi vedranno pochissime volte in futuro .
Peccato , hanno perso una cliente che avrebbero potuto avere tutte le settimane .
Nonostante la siccità di Catania, l'impatto sull'agricoltura e lo stato di calamità dichiarato, uno dei baristi della terrazza lavora con il rubinetto aperto mentre prepara i cocktail, ti fa pagare o fuma una sigaretta dopo l'altra. L'ostello sarebbe perfetto se si occupasse di questi dettagli.
Non lasciate che una sola persona renda l'esperienza dell'ostello così negativa.
