This hotel has bed bugs. On the day we arrived (we hadn't even spent the night) we noticed bed bugs in our bed. There were live bugs as well as stains on the sheets from bed bugs. We notified the night-shift guy at the front desk he came to our room, took a picture of the bed bugs, didn't even kill it, and told us all he could do was give us a new room and he we would have to wait until morning when his boss weighed in. He refused to call professionals about the bugs or take any action. He was very rude and implied that we brought the bugs to the hotel, despite only having just arrived (we found no signs of the bugs pre or post this hotel). Judging by the shape of our first room and the room we were moved to, we were given the worst room in the hotel, probably one they don't normally book. Not only did the hotel refuse to provide any compensation to us but they charged us for our night of bed bugs. They cost us an entire nights sleep, hundreds of dollars in laundry, cleaning supplies, and extra transporation, and precious time. They also destroyed all comfort and peace of mind for the entire rest of our trip, as we constantly worried about whether we had contracted bed bugs from the hotel and brought them wherever we went.
Even if it weren't for the bed bugs, this hotel is in very poor condition. It needs to be completely remodeled, yet they are operating it anyway. I overheard another couple complaining that their air conditioning wasn't working. The rooms are dingy, outdated, and poorly lit and decorated. I don't know how they meet the requirements for a 4-star hotel but there are 3-star hotels better than this dump. When we moved to the new room, the iron doorknob came clean off the bathroom door and fell on my wife's foot. The sinks don't drain. The shower head was broken. The TV remote had corroded batteries in it, and it didn't work. The pictures of the hotel make it look like there is dining in the cave, but the cave is closed off and not part of operations. There's no room service. There is virtually no service; the hotel runs on a skeleton crew. It sounded liked the hotel was purchased by a new owner and they are waiting for approvals to do construction and remodel but are operating the dilapidated building in the meantime. Which is probably why they don't care about treating their patrons like dirt.
